What is game writing?
It's more than just dialogue. When you write a game, you create a story and plot, write in-game dialogue and triggered VO, develop character personalities and arcs, write and direct cinematic sequences, prototype narrative elements, cast and direct voice actors, and integrate story into gameplay.

What does your game need?

You need an experienced writer who can write 20 variants for a line of in-game dialogue, then create a spreadsheet that tracks and organizes all voice assets. You need someone who can schedule meetings, work closely with your dev team, and then create emotionally compelling story content.

What do I bring to the table?

When it comes to games, I'm a zealot. I love games, and I love my work. From the concept development of pre-production to the final days of testing and polish, I try to ensure that the narrative is properly welded to the game experience. In my spare time, I'm a published author of horror fiction, nonfiction books and articles about game development, tabletop role-playing games, comic books, and indie horror movies.
